Military Families Connect serves active-duty service members, veterans, military spouses, and families in Rhode Island seeking supportive, non-clinical equine-facilitated programming that promotes resilience and relationship-building.
Delivered at the barn in a calm, structured environment in Rhode Island, these experiential, ground-based sessions create space to decompress, reconnect, and strengthen communication alongside the steady presence of the herd.
Come as you are. No horse experience required.
CONNECTION, RESILIENCE & SHARED PRESENCE WITH HORSES
WHY HORSES?
The presence of the horses — often at liberty — supports nervous system regulation and creates opportunities for authentic interaction without pressure or performance.
Through experiential interaction with horses, participants may develop:

These experiential sessions offer a non-clinical alternative to traditional wellness programs while supporting emotional regulation and connection in a natural setting.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Sessions are designed based on participant needs. They may be offered as single gatherings or multi-session series, and they can be customized upon request.
Experiences take place at the barn and outdoor setting and are grounded in observation, reflection, and hands-on interaction with horses.
As a trauma-informed equine-facilitated learning program, sessions may include:
