Stable Strides Foundation offers structured, equine-facilitated programs delivered at the barn, where students step outside the classroom and into nature for experiential, participant-led learning with horses. Programs are designed to support social-emotional development, leadership growth, and practical life skills through interactive, hands-on engagement.

TAKE THE LEAD
A modular equine-facilitated curriculum designed for youth cohorts, school groups, and partner organizations. Programs are experiential, participant-led, and structured to support socio-emotional growth.

Pony Tales

Literacy-based sessions that provide a calm, supportive setting. Participants build confidence and comfort with reading, while exploring letter formation and phonics through hands-on, sensory engagement.
Participants show progress in:

Phonics— Reinforce letter formation and phonemic awareness through sensory-based practice.

Fluency — Increase reading fluency and expressive confidence through supported read-aloud time.

Soft Skills — Improve attention, listening, and early literacy engagement in a calm setting.
Horsemanship Club

Skill-building sessions that develop safety, responsibility, and confidence around horses through structured interaction and care. Mostly ground-based and offered in a progressive curriculum:

Safety & Care —Safe barn practices, horse care routines, and foundational knowledge of equine wellbeing.

Handling & Communication —
Groundwork skills that strengthen body awareness, and nonverbal communication with the horses. -
Riding Foundations — Balance and coordination on the horse. Basic steering, use of aids and physical conditioning for aspiring and beginner riders.

We collaborate with schools, districts, and youth-serving organizations seeking structured experiential programming that complements existing student support models.

We actively seek grant funding to expand access to equine-facilitated youth programming. Schools and youth-serving organizations may explore opportunities for collaborative grant applications, request program materials to support independent funding efforts, or inquire about available grant-supported pilots.
