EQUINE-FACILITATED PROGRAMS
FOR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

Empowering youth to grow
beyond the classroom.

Stable Strides Foundation offers structured, equine-facilitated programs delivered at the barn, where students step outside the classroom and into nature for experiential, participant-led learning with horses. Programs are designed to support social-emotional development, leadership growth, and practical life skills through interactive, hands-on engagement.

Horses in Field

Our experience with Stable Strides was truly transformative. The students in my program all have very unique needs and they all learned something different and meaningful from participating. I was not sure what to expect when we started the leadership program with the horses but was quickly amazed at the transformative impact it had on my students each week.

One of my students refused to even step into the arena during our first session. Week by week, his curiosity and confidence grew, and in our final session he even had the courage to attempt to get on the horse. That journey, from fear to courage over six weeks, is something rarely engineered in a classroom environment. For students who so often feel defined by what they cannot do, Take the Lead gave them a place where they discovered new passions and possibilities.

They all looked forward to our weekly time with the horses and enjoyed working with the teachers. We are returning for another six weeks this spring — because this program works, and my students deserve more of it. I would highly recommend connecting with Stable Strides and watch as your students blossom through the program.
