Stable Strides Release Waiver
Updated August 2025

Under Rhode Island Law (General Laws chapter 21 of Title 4), an equine professional, unless he or she can be shown to have failed to be in the exercise of due care, is not liable for an injury to, or the death of, a participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities.

I voluntarily choose to participate, or allow the minor named below to participate, in equine-related activities and events offered or facilitated by Sandy Point Heritage Foundation/Stable Strides Foundation. I expressly assume all risks, known and unknown, inherent or otherwise, associated with these activities.

Waiver and Release of Liability

I hereby release and hold harmless Sandy Point Heritage Foundation, Stable Strides Foundation, Genna Heath, Ingrid Adolphs, and all of their respective directors, officers, employees, contractors, agents, volunteers, equine professionals, instructors (including junior/apprentice instructors), horse owners, facility owners, guest speakers, and property owners (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any and all claims, actions, causes of action, liabilities, and damages, including but not limited to those arising from personal injury, death, or property damage, whether caused by negligence or otherwise, that result from or relate in any way to participation in equine activities sponsored, hosted, or facilitated by the Releasees.

Indemnification

I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Releasees from any and all claims, demands, liabilities, losses, damages, judgments, and expenses arising out of or relating to my participation, or the participation of the minor for whom I sign, in any Sandy Point Heritage Foundation/Stable Strides Foundation activity. This includes claims brought by third parties or by the undersigned on behalf of a minor or otherwise.
