Program Policies
Enrollment & Payment Each participant must be registered individually. A completed intake form and required consent information must be submitted for every participant. Full payment is required at the time of registration. ⸻ Cancellations & Withdrawals Due to limited group size and advance planning, we require at least 7 days’ notice prior to the first session for withdrawals. Withdrawals made within 7 days of the program start date and/or once a program has begun are non-refundable. Missed sessions cannot be credited toward future series. If Stable Strides must cancel a session, reasonable efforts will be made to offer a make-up session or credit. ⸻ Punctuality Sessions begin and end at their scheduled time. Please arrive 5–10 minutes early for drop-off and be prompt for pick-up. ⸻ Safety, Conduct & Community Standards Youth programs are conducted in the presence of horses and follow clearly established safety guidelines. Expectations will be reviewed at the beginning of each program and must be followed at all times. Stable Strides Foundation is committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and emotionally safe environment for all participants and maintains a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, harassment, intimidation, or exclusionary behavior. We reserve the right to dismiss a participant if behavior poses a safety concern for themselves, other participants, staff, or the horses, or significantly disrupts the wellbeing of the group. ⸻ Appropriate Clothing Programs take place in a barn environment. Participants must wear closed-toe shoes (sneakers or sturdy footwear) and comfortable clothing appropriate for movement and outdoor conditions. Long pants are strongly recommended. ⸻ Nature of Youth Programs Stable Strides youth programs are experiential enrichment offerings designed to support confidence, communication, responsibility, and life skills through hands-on interaction with horses. Programs are primarily ground-based and are not riding lessons. These programs may serve as a meaningful complement to therapeutic services; however, they do not replace licensed mental health services, physical therapy, occupational therapy, or other clinical interventions.
